Renovation of an educational facility in Lincoln, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 118,173-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility.

The University of Nebraska Medical Center intends to procure a qualified contractor to provide pre-construction services and construction services as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) for the UNMC College of Dentistry Envelope & Roof Renewal project. The estimated construction cost for the CMR Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) is $1,906,091. The total estimated construction budget including the GMP, in-house construction services, and the Owner's contingency is $2,491,608.72. The existing UNMC College of Dentistry facility at 4000 East Campus Loop South on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln East Campus is a two story structure with over 118,000 BGSF of mixed educational, research, and outpatient medical occupancies. This project is intended to address several condition issues with the current building envelope. The roofing is primarily modified bitumen and is aged and repaired in several locations. A replacement roof membrane system and remediation for leaks or ponding areas is included in this project scope. The exterior facade is primarily brick and single pane curtain wall systems. This project will replace the legacy curtain wall with new sealed energy efficient frames and glazing. The existing brick and metal panel coping throughout the campus is in reasonable condition. A thorough commercial cleaning of the brick and metal panels is included. Through engineering investigation, it was identified that the storm water leaders serving the existing roof are undersized for the area served. This project includes rightsizing the building storm leaders and any associated interior patching required.
