Site work for a water / sewer project in Merrimac, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

All Bids shall be submitted within a sealed envelope addressed to the "Board of Selectmen, Merrimac Town Hall, 4 School Street, Merrimac MA, 01860 " and entitled Bid for Contract No. 100 and marked with an email address for bid results. The project generally consists of the removal of 6-inch and 8-inch water main and replacement with 12-inch ductile iron water main, a total of approximately 1,150 linear feet on Woodland St. The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment for completing the work as shown on the Contract Drawings and as herein specified or reasonably implied. The OWNER reserves the right to eliminate certain sections of the work or parts of sections, as may be determined by them as a basis of award, to keep within the limits of available funds, or to add sections of the work previously eliminated. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Cash, a Certified Check or a Treasurer's or Cashier's Check issued by a responsible Bank or Trust Company, in the amount of five (5) percent of the submitted bid, as Bid Security. Attention of the Bidder is called to the requirements for minimum wage rates to be paid under this Contract and the reporting associated thereto. Minimum wage rates are required as per M.G.L, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D inclusive. Minimum wage rates determined by the Commissioner are as contained in the Supplementary Conditions section of the Contract Documents. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Payment and Performance Bond each in the full amount of the Contract. Contract payment will be by the lump sum price and/or unit price method as indicated on the Bid Form. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date designated above for the opening. Bids for this Contract are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Chapter 30, Section 39M. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and to limit the extent of the work to keep within the limits of available funds.
