Renovation of a municipal facility in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The Scope of Services for the Improvements to THA Office Restrooms includes, but is not necessarily limited to, all necessary repairs/ improvements to three (3) restrooms. The following is a listing of identified work items to be performed. This listing is for cost estimation purposes, all bidders are required to visit the site prior to submitting a proposal: - Remove existing vinyl wall covering and finish wall with new vinyl wall covering OR semi-gloss wall paint - Remove and replace floor and base tile - Remove and replace three (3) ADA compliant toilets - Remove and replace four (4) regular toilets - Remove and replace three (3) double sink vanity tops, including sinks and faucets - Paint three (3) existing vanity base cabinets and seven (7) existing stall doors - Remove and install new ceiling tiles in one (1) restroom - Repaint ceilings in two (2) restrooms - Replace vanity hardware and stall door hardware - Install wall tile (up to 4 feet high) around two (2) urinal walls in one (1) restroom. Deadline for Submission of Questions September 2, 2022 by 2:00 PM CST The term of the contract shall be for 60 days from the effective date of the "Notice to Proceed." The successful firm or individual shall complete the services required under the contract within the time schedule established. All questions must be submitted in writing (email) to the Authority by 2:00 PM (CST) September 2, 2022. Questions not submitted by the deadline will not be answered. Questions may be submitted by e-mail to hstrachan@tuscaloosahousing.org. Oral communication is discouraged and the Authority will not be bound by any oral answers or interpretations of the Request for Quotes. The Tuscaloosa Housing Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all quotes, or any part of any quote, and to waive any informalities or irregularities. THA in accordance with the Executive Orders 11625 and 12138 encourages participation by businesses owned and operated by minorities and women and Section 3 Business Concerns. It is the policy of THA to use best good faith efforts, consistent with applicable federal regulations and executive orders, to fully promote participation and utilization of disadvantaged and historically underutilized businesses in all areas of Authority contracting. Proposers are expected to demonstrate diligence to achieve participation and utilization.
