D2C worked with the City to develop an initial program. The initial program (See Exhibit C attached) includes a space needs summary based on staff input, utilization and size of existing spaces, and functional needs for additional spaces. These findings outlined the need of a police operations building that is approximately 34,500 square feet to accommodate population and staffing growth for 20 years. In 2021 voters passed a ballot measure to provide funding to construct and maintain a new facility that can accommodate 65-75 staff. The City has since acquired property for the new police station.
