Renovation of a municipal facility in Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Contractor agrees to provide to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) all labor, materials, tools, paint supplies, equipment, travel, and incidentals necessary to clean, prepare, and paint the Caltrans Division of Equipment Headquarters Shop C. Payment Bond (ADM-2009) Requirement: If the successful bidder's bid exceeds $25,000, the successful bidder shall furnish a Payment Bond for not less than 100 percent (100%) of the total amount payable by the terms of this Agreement. The Payment Bond is due prior to the start date of work. No work may commence without receipt of a valid Payment Bond. The Payment Bond must be in effect at all times for the duration of the Agreement. If the Payment Bond expires during the term of the Agreement, a new Payment Bond must be provided to Caltrans Contact Manager not less than 10 business days prior to its expiration. Bidder shall possess, at the time of bid submittal and for the duration of the agreement (if awarded), a current and active a C-33 (Painting and Decorating Contractor) license issued by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB). Bidder may possess a General Building Contractor (B) license but painting work must be subcontracted to a C-33 unless the bidder possesses both B and C-33 licenses. Questions regarding this IFB must be submitted in writing by August 29, 2022. Bidders are encouraged to submit their written questions via e-mail to Robert.Carothers@dot.ca.gov. Written questions must include: the individual's name, firm name, complete address and must reference IFB No. 32A0545. Questions must be sent to one of the following: Email: Robert.Carothers@dot.ca.gov Or mail to: California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Division of Procurement and Contracts Attention: Robert Carothers 1727 30th Street, MS 65 Sacramento, CA 95816 A bid may be rejected if it is conditional, incomplete, or if it contains any alterations of form or other irregularities of any kind. Caltrans may reject any bid on the basis that it is not responsive or from a non-responsible bidder and may waive any immaterial deviation in a bid. Caltrans waiver of an immaterial defect shall in no way modify the IFB document or excuse the bidder from full compliance with all requirements if awarded the Agreement.
