Development of a future technical landfill (LET). Contract for consulting services for carrying out an environmental assessment (EA) has been awarded following request for proposals # ING-2022-6700. Reference # 1633654. The City of Sept-Îles requires professional services to conduct an ecological study for the development of the future technical landfill (LET), located north of downtown. This study consists in carrying out the ecological assessment and the environmental, physical and biological characterizations of the area planned for the development of the new site in order to determine the sensitive areas from an ecological point of view (wetlands, water and land). Based on the environmental constraints of the study area, the contractor must identify the areas to be favored as well as those to be excluded for the development of the future LET. In this regard, the firm will have to make recommendations on the location of the future LET based on the results obtained. EA is expected to be completed by September 1, 2023.
