The proposed project will construct two segments of new sidewalk infrastructure in Brookline, NH. The first segment, along South Main Street, will extend southerly from the Main Street intersection approximately 2,050 feet, terminating in the vicinity of 20 South Main Street. The second segment along Mason Road will extend easterly from the Potanipo Hill Road intersection 210 feet to the access driveway to the state boat ramp. Work shall include, but is not limited to, construction of two prefabricated steel truss pedestrian bridge superstructures, construction of concrete substructures (concrete abutments and wingwalls), construction of bituminous concrete sidewalks and concrete ADA tip-downs, installation of some granite curbing, wood railing fence installation, and guardrail installation. The work shall also include pedestrian detour, traffic maintenance (alternating one-way traffic control), earthwork, tree clearing, signs, striping, drainage, and minor items ancillary to roadway work. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. The anticipated project schedule is to start construction on or about October 17, 2022, to allow for tree clearing, grubbing and any other desired initial work, and complete construction by July 31, 2023. 150 working days will be allowed to complete all work, in accordance with the contractor's schedule. See Section 00850 Special Conditions on additional construction schedule requirements. There will not be a pre-bid conference. Prequalification: All Bidders (Prime Contractor or a Contractor/Subcontractors Team) shall demonstrate qualifications to perform the work, after submitting a bid. See instructions to bidders. The Engineer's opinion of probable construction cost is between $1,000,000.00 and $1,500,000.00. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
