Saving Project...

Renovation of a medical facility in Los Angeles, California. Design plans call for the renovation of a 5,000-square-foot medical facility.

Per the owner, as of December 8, 2023, this project is at least another two years out. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. .................. The construction cost for the project has not yet been determined and will be defined by each incremental project's scope of work and phasing requirements. Over time, the entire scope of work may be executed through several phased separate incremental projects. The anticipated project cost range may be between approximately $8-10M per incremental project, with an expected total cost for the entire scope of work being between $22-25M. The proposed project would renovate approximately 5,000 SF in the Peter Morton Medical Building at 200 Medical Plaza to install new and replace PET/CTs and new SPECT/CTs and scanners. The renovations would also include any support spaces required by the referenced treatment rooms. The project scope shall include demolition, alterations, and additions to the building's mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, and fire sprinkler systems; new lighting; casework; flooring, ceilings; glazing; doors and doors and hardware. All work shall occur in an occupied building with restricted hours to perform all noise-producing work and access areas below the Project Site. The project shall require night and/or weekend work to accommodate these work restrictions. The project will be phased out in consecutive order to maintain operations. Existing improvements impacted by the work would be restored. The project would install medical equipment that would be procured separately. Through the results of the master plan study, the University may potentially execute the renovations as a single project or multiple phase series of projects. The project would be designed to comply with the California Code of Regulations (Title 24), HCAi (OSHPD 3 Clinic) requirements, licensing requirements of the Department of Public Health (Title 22), and disabled access requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). A business that is at least 51% owned by one or more disabled veterans or, in the case of any publicly owned business, at least 51% of the stock of which is owned by such individuals and whose management and daily business operations are controlled by one or more of such individuals. A Disabled Veteran is a veteran of the military, naval, or air service of the United States with a serviceconnected disability who is a resident of the State of California. To qualify as a veteran with a service-connected disability, the person must be currently declared by the United States Veterans Administration to be 10% or more disabled due to service in the armed forces. A business concern that is at least 51% owned by one or more socially and economically disadvantaged individuals or, in the case of any publicly owned business, at least 51% of the stock of which is owned by such individuals and whose management and daily business operations are controlled by one or more of such individuals. Socially disadvantaged individuals have been subjected to racial or ethnic prejudice or cultural bias because of their identity as members of a group without regard to their individual qualities. Economically disadvantaged individuals - Are socially disadvantaged individuals whose ability to compete in the free private enterprise system has been impaired due to diminished capital and credit opportunities compared to others in the same business area who are not socially disadvantaged. Business owners who certify that they are members of named groups (Black Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, Asian-Pacific Americans, Asian-Indian Americans) are to be considered socially and economically disadvantaged. A business that is at least 51% owned by a woman or women who also control and operate it. Control in this context means exercising the power to make policy decisions. Operate in this context means being actively involved in the day-to-day management. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
