The scope of work consists of the reconstruction of approximately 2,160 linear feet of existing asphalt streets with asphalt, concrete, and an alternate for adding a concrete ribbon curb along the proposed asphalt streets. All of the above done in compliance with City and NCTCOG specifications with City of the Colony's Addenda and according to instructions of City of The Colony City Engineer. All construction sequencing and barricading done according to City of The Colony Standards. The opinion of probable construction cost for the overall project is $1,215,000.00 The successful bidder will be required to furnish Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of amount bid from a Surety licensed to do business in the State of Texas, within fifteen (15) days of the bid award. The winning bidder, upon City acceptance, will be required to provide the City with a minimum two (2) year maintenance bond. The maintenance bond shall be in the amount of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) or ten (10%) percent of the amount of the contract, whichever is greater, but not to exceed one hundred (100) percent of the contract amount. City of The Colony reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive any informality in any bid, and to accept the bid which, in its discretion, is in the best interest of the City of The Colony.
