Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; office development; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Q & A deadline: Sep 28, 2022 5:00:00 PM EDT Questions will be allowed up to 10 days before the initial deadline for submittal of Bids. Reference: Section 0100, Sub-section 6 Bayshore Park is located at 2300 Prairie Avenue and is surrounded by stakeholders such as Scott Rakow Youth Center, Hebrew Academy, and Miami Beach High School. The park is approximately 19.4 acres. Per request by the community, in September 2015, pursuant to Request for Qualification (RFQ No. 2015-240-KB), the City of Miami Beach commenced the design development and permitting of the former Par 3 Golf Course into a passive community park for the City's residents. Due to its previous use as a golf course, the site is contaminated, and environmental remediation must be addressed per the permit requirements. The components associated with the construction of the new park include: A. Construction of a new park with children's playground for different ages, exercise station, sports courts with tennis and pickleball markings, bathroom/office building, site furnishings, lake with circulation and ozone system water treatment, drainage system, installation, and adjustments, pathways, jogging trails, parking lot, dog park, lighting system (tennis/pickleball court lighting, site walkway lighting and street lighting along Pine Tree Dr.), entrance and park identification signs, landscaping including the butterfly garden, lake littoral zone, tree relocation and planting of new hedges, shrubs and trees, irrigation system, and coordination with the different utilities and connection to the FPL system. B. One of the main components of this park is contamination remediation based on the conditions and procedures stipulated in the environmental reports and the permit(s), including the required monitoring, reporting, and certifications to receive final regulatory approvals. Conditions are attached as a part of the bid documents. The contractor must meet all the regulatory requirements during the contamination remediation and throughout the project. The contractor must coordinate with the Environmental Consultant hired by the City for this project. The Contractor is responsible to obtain and submit all the necessary data to the Environmental Consultant for the preparation of the reports to be submitted to Miami Dade County Division of Environmental Resources Management (DERM) in order to obtain final approvals for the project and to achieve Substantial and Final Completion. C. Alternates: See Specification Section 012300 "Alternates." D. The project also includes abandoning the existing water and sanitary sewer force mains and the installation of a new 20-inch water main and a 30-inch force main through the park. 1. The pipeline replacement work consists of installing a 30-inch DIP force main and a 20-inch DIP water main (to replace the existing mains within the project area). Both existing force main and water main are to be cut, grouted, capped, and abandoned in place as indicated in the Plans.
