Selection Criteria Parties responding with a Letter of Interest must specify the following criteria: Experience on similar projects based on references from former clients, Qualifications of persons proposed to work on the project (professional resumes required), Ability to meet work schedule, Completeness of project approach, and Proposed cost. If needed, a conference may be scheduled with the consulting engineers considered to be most qualified to clarify any issues. Terms and Conditions The City of Forsyth reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to award the contract to the next most qualified engineer if the successful consulting engineer does not execute the contract within (30) days after the award of the proposal. The City of Forsyth, in accordance with affirmative action, requires that the consulting engineer will not discriminate under the contract against any person in accordance with federal, state, and local government regulations. Scope of Service The City of Forsyth is seeking a qualified company to design mountain bike trails and pump tracks at two different locations. The company awarded this contract will first produce a master plan for The Gateway Trail by October 17, 2022. The Gateway Trail is intended to be designed with a series of green, blue, and black trails being phased in, beginning with a green, cross country trail. A pump track will also be part of the design. The master plan will have a breakdown of phases for each trail addition. The second trail system will be at Shoals Bend Park, and be of similar design. The party to whom this contract is awarded will be responsible for studying the lay of the land so that the trails are designed in such a manner that watershed is considered, and maintenance and repair minimized. The letter of interest for this project needs to include a cost for the master plan of The Gateway Trail, and specify that the cost for the master plan of the second trail system at Shoals Bend Park will not exceed that amount.
