Site work for a mixed-use development in Logan, Utah. Design plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and development.

As of December 5, 2022, a designer has been selected. Bidding is anticipated to take in either January or February of 2023. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference The City of Logan Parks and Recreation Department is soliciting proposals for park design services for 600 South Park in Logan. Logan City owns 19.24 acres of undeveloped land located at approximately 1900 West 600 South and bounded on the south by the Logan River. The property is intended to be developed into a public park. 600 South Park is designated as the termination point for the Logan River Trail. It is also a designated ramp location for hand-carry non-motorized watercraft as part of the Logan River Blue Trail (water trail) project. This Request for Proposals (RFP) seeks professional design consultant services to create the design plans and technical specifications for construction of the 600 South Park. Desired consultant services include preparation to solicit bids for construction of the project and to provide construction monitoring through completion of the project. The tasks for this project are described in the following "Scope of Work - Deliverables". Logan City also requires insurance coverage for professional services. Exhibit A is attached to this RFP outlining the criteria and insurance limits. Proposals must indicate that the insurance criteria as stated will be met by the Consultant. Any proposal may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of proposals or authorized postponement thereof. The Purchasing Agent or her representative shall have possession of the right to disregard all nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional proposals. Also, Owner reserves the right to reject the proposal of any vendor if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the project to make an award to that vendor or whether the proposal is not responsive, deemed unqualified, or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner. Questions regarding this RFP must be submitted via email to Russ Akina, Director of Parks and Recreation at russ.akina@loganutah.org before 5:00 p.m., August 26, 2022. s. If the default remains after ENGINEER has been provided the opportunity to cure, the City of Logan may do one or more of the following: (1) Exercise any remedy provided by law; (2) Terminate this Contract and any related contracts or portions thereof; (3) Impose liquidated damages, if liquidated damages are listed in the Contract; or (4) Suspend ENGINEER from receiving future solicitations. The City reserves the right to award all or a portion of this project to the selected consultant. If after a review of the written proposal a consultant cannot be chosen, the City reserves the right to require an oral interview. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
