Site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Hockessin, Delaware. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The project involves the construction of two abutments and two 75' approach spans on both sides of the existing bridge. South of the bridge the existing road is to be demolished and replaced with asphalt road leading up to its connection at Benge Road. There is also to be a turn off apron on the south side of the road for future use and a turn off apron on the north side of the road to access the existing gravel trail that is in use by the Marshall Steam Museum. North of the bridge a segment of asphalt road is to be constructed connecting to the existing road. The existing parking lot at the north end of the project is to be demolished and reconstructed to match the grades of the new road. Along the entire road will be a new 6 foot wide sidewalk for pedestrians. Bidders will not be subject to discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or national origin in consideration of this award, and Minority Business Enterprises, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, Women-Owned Business Enterprises and Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids on this contract. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to ten percent of the bid amount and all additive alternates. The successful bidder must post a performance bond and payment bond in a sum equal to 100 percent of the contract price upon execution of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein.
