Renovation of a theater / auditorium in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a theater / auditorium.
As of February 23, 2023, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. This is a Single Prime PLA Project. The project is an interior renovation project. The renovation includes, but not limited to abatement of hazardous material, interior finish upgrades, seating upgrades in the small and large theaters, audio-visual equipment upgrades, theatrical lighting upgrades, renovation of the ground level public restrooms, renovating the 2nd floor lobby into a conference room, addition of two gender neutral restrooms, providing an accessible route into the small theater, and extension of the existing passenger elevator to the upper lobby level. Work located at York College Performing Arts Center lobby, 95-45 Guy R. Brewer Boulevard The estimated construction value of this project is $15,800,000 - $16,200,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Only bids from Small Business Concerns or Minority Business Concerns are defined under the small Business Concerns Set Aside Program, in accordance with Section 1699-m of the Public Authorities Law of New York State will be considered. The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York ("DASNY") has determined that its interest in obtaining the best work at the lowest possible price, preventing favoritism, fraud and corruption, and other considerations such as the impact of delay, the possibility of cost savings advantages and any local history of labor unrest are best met by use of a Project Labor Agreement ("PLA") on this Project. The successful low bidder, as a condition of being awarded this Contract, will be required to execute the PLA described in the Information for Bidders and included in the Contract Documents. See Section 18.0 of the Information for Bidders of the Contract Documents for additional information. All subcontractors of every tier will be required to agree to be bound by the PLA.
