The existing water treatment system at the Lac Le Jeune Provincial Park consists of an intake, pumphouse, treatment/disinfection system and a concrete reservoir. The existing treatment infrastructure is not functioning as intended and, therefore, requires upgrading/repair. The proposed upgrades and repairs are intended to address system performance concerns related to maintaining consistent chlorine concentrations and reducing turbidity/sediment in the raw water. Furthermore, one of the intake pumps, Pump #2, is currently inoperable and requires servicing/repair. In general, the scope of work includes: Familiarization with the system and identification of deficiencies Replacement of chlorine dosing pumps (2) Reconfiguring of existing treatment room piping to install one additional Hurricane Filtration System and relocating air release valve. Supply and install Hurricane Filtration System with 20-micron filter cartridges Supply and install new flow meter Commission existing Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and integrate in to Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition System (SCADA) Supply, install and commission SCADA system and appurtenances Assess and repair turbidimeter Assess and repair Intake Pump #2 Tune chlorine dosing system to maintain consistent residual chlorine concentrations Replace main PLC Assess and repair UV Train. Integrate UV PLC with the control system The Lac Le Jeune (LLJ) Provincial Park is located approximately 37 km south of Kamloops and 47 km north of Merritt. The proposed works are located within the water treatment centre at the southwest corner of the LLJ campground, adjacent to the existing boat launch.
