Needed Service or Supply: Provide and install new roof, including new fascia, gutter and downspouts; conduct minor structural repair on maintenance shop. Inquiry End Date 9/14/2022 2:00:00 PM Project specification 1. Prior to demo i. Inspect structure to insure safe demolition and replacement of the Roof ii. Survey for potential hazards, biological. iii. If Alternate 1 is taken, survey the underground utilities for electrical conduit route and where post holes will be sets iv. Prior to work the owner (ODNR) will remove nests, and other animal issues 2. Construction - Demo i. Remove existing metal roof, ridge caps, valley flashing, pipe boots, drip edge, etc. to expose structure to install new metal roof, take precautions not to affect the roof supports ii. Gutters - demo as required, salvage of splash blocks is acceptable to install new iii. Remove all damage fascia and soffits - The contractor will inspect at the job walk, the existing conditions and determine what is required and include in his bid. iv. Repair roof underlayment, sheeting as required utilizing the allowance. a. Documentation is required. if greater than allowance pre-approval is required b. Inspection at the job walk to determine if the allowance needs to be increased 3. Construction - Fascia and Soffit i. Repair and or replace damage fascia boards and cover with metal, match adjacent cabins color. ii. Install soffit vent with insect screens 4. Construction - Roof i. No drawings are available, dimension to be taken onsite ii. Install metal roofing system per the manufacturers recommendation a. System to combatable with roof structure b. Min. 26 gauge corrugated galvalume or equal non corrosive, and or coated. c. Vapor barrier to mitigate condensation issues d. Preferred product is Ohio based manufacture e. Submittal required, owner to select color f. Minimum of 20 year warranty iii. Install new edge flashing around the perimeter. iv. Install all new pipe boots, flashing, and metals according to manufacturer's specifications. v. Install all new hip/ridge caps. vi. Install all new ridge vents as needed for ventilation. 5. Construction - Attic Insulation - Alt 2 i. Install R-30 Insulation over existing Insulation ii. Make sure the soffit vents are clear to enable air floor. 6. Construction - Chimney i. Install Galvanize strap to anchor the free-standing chimney to the structure a. One as high as possible b. One above the flue pipe Evaluation. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as determined by the State. Contract Award. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder by low lot total. Low lot total will be determined by multiplying the unit cost by the estimated usage listed in the bid and then adding each of the totals together to arrive at a total for all items. Failure to bid all items may result in the bidder being deemed not responsive. The awarded supplier will be required to sign an Addendum to Bid Quote or Personal Services Agreement. Example attached.
