As of November 1, 2022, the project has been awarded to Patton Construction LLC for $546,862.50. The work shall consist of: Con- struction of road repairs include earthwork, stone base, and paving. Each bid submitted must be marked on the outside "Bid for: CANE CREEK ROAD IMPROVE- MENTS, PONTOTOC COUNTY, MS. Any bid in excess of $50,000 must contain on the outside of the enve- lope the contractor's current cer- tificate of responsibility number, and no bid shall be opened or con- sidered unless this number ap- pears on the outside of the envelope or unless a statement is included on the outside of the en- velope indicating that the bid en- closed does not exceed $50,000. A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder or an accepted Surety, a certified check, or bank draft payable to the Board of supervisors, pontotoc county, ms, on negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), shall be submitted with each bid in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. When applicable, bidders are di- rected to the contract requirement that not less than the minimum wages and salaries set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, in accordance with the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that employment and appli- cants for employment are not dis- criminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or natural origin. Bids may be held up to 60 days from the date of opening for re- view of bids and qualifications of bidders prior to Contract award. The Board of SUPERVISORS re- serves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding.
