Renovation of a military facility in Grand Isle, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for non-commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 36, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and no other written solicitation will not be issued. Instructions to offerors, (FAR Part 36) evaluation criteria, and all applicable FAR Provisions and Clauses are attached. The solicitation number is 70Z02923Q0000009 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clauses and Department of Labor Wage Rates for Construction are included in this order and are applicable. Where Federal Acquisition Regulation clause language is inconsistent with FAR Part 36, Legal Effect of Quotations, that language is hereby tailored in accordance with FAR Part 36 to be consistent with a request for quotations. This tailoring includes, but is not limited to the following: In accordance with FAR Part 36, a quotation is not an offer, and any clause provision to the contrary is hereby modified to be consistent with FAR Part 36. Where the word "offer/offeror" or a derivative of that word appears, it is changed to "quote/quoter" or a derivative of that word. The applicable NAICS code is 238210 and small business size standard is 16.5M. This solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Price Construction Contract awarded to the offeror with the Lowest Price. Offerors must be actively registered in System for Award Management - https://www.beta.sam.gov. The U.S. Coast Guard Base New Orleans Industrial building has a requirement to repair roof top damage place guy wires for rooftop exhaust ductwork, and AMU gas vents at Base New Orleans Industrial building. Please see the attached Statement of Work for specifications of work. 45 DAY ARO FOB Destination to: USCG Base New Orleans 1790 Saturn Blvd. New Orleans, LA. 70129-2270 FAR 52.237-1 -- Site Visit (Apr 1984). Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. All quotes are due at by 3:00pm CST on December 2nd, 2022. Submit quotes to the following e-mail address: ashley.b.carr@uscg.mil Any and all questions regarding this solicitation shall be submitted in writing to Ashley Carr at the email provided. SCOPE OF WORK: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the following unless noted below: Page 4 of 7 1. All work in this contract shall be in reference to storm shutters located at Station Grand Isle. 2. Contractor shall repair the following storm shutters: o Station Building - Sixteen sets of three electric motor operated shutters. Currently three of the sixteen sets are not opening or closing fully. All shutters are on the second floor windows, approximately half are accessible via the parking lot or sidewalk and the other half are above the grass yard. o Gym - Seven individual manually operated window coverings total. Of which three are damaged and one is missing and will need to be replaced. Window coverings are only operated from the outside and are located on second floor. Damaged coverings are accessible via the grassy yard. 3. Contractor shall inspect and conduct preventative maintenance on the following storm shutters. o Station Building - Sixteen sets of three (48 total) electric motor operated storm shutters. Same as referenced in paragraph above. 4. Required delivery within 60 days of award. 5. Contractor shall protect all equipment, merchandise and property in work locations. 6. All work must be approved by the Contracting Officer's Representative.
