Site work, remodeling, renovation and addition to a military facility in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the addition of a military facility.
This is a Design-Build Project The Defense Health Agency recognizes that the existing 1.5T MRI located in a mobile unit outside of the Medical Center, has reached the end of its lifecycle, requiring replacement. The temporary trailer is over 10 years old. There are cyber security risks associated with the current MRI trailer with an outdated OS. It runs on Windows XP and the only available upgrade for this particular unit will move it to a Windows 7 platform. While we may be able to obtain a waiver to purchase this upgrade, it still does not solve the cybersecurity issues and is not in line with DHA requirement that devices operate on a Windows 10 platform. There are potential patient safety issues with taking critical patients outside in the elements and into the cramped trailer for imaging. Due to trailer space constraints, we cannot keep a crash cart in the trailer, any advanced lifesaving intervention requires calling 911 for ambulance response. But not limited to, please review the specifications for a complete scope of work. Magnitude of Construction: $5M - $10M Prevailing Wages apply.
