Construction of the Base Bid includes relocation of approximately 200 LF of 6" water line and replacement/relocation of approximately 1, 200 LF +/- of 8" - 12" gravity sewer line, and related improvements. An Additive Bid is also being received for replacement of approximately 100 LF of 42" stormwater culverts and associated street repairs. The Town of Dobson reservesthe right to reject any or all proposals. Any bid received after the designated bid closing time will be rejected and will not be opened. NOTE: Prospective bidders are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the state laws governing their trade. General contractors are notified that Chapter 87, Article 1, General Statutes of North Carolina will be observed in receiving and awarding this contract. All Bidders are required to submit a 5% Bid Security with their bid. Upon award of contract, a separate performance bond and payment bond each in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price will be required. Carriers must be authorized to do business in North Carolina. The Town reserves the right to reject any bid for failure to comply with all bidding requirements or of any of the Contract Documents; however, it may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The Town further reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or to award the Contract which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Town of Dobson. There will not be a Pre-Bid Conference held for this project and all Bidder questions are to be directed to the Engineer, The Lane Grou
