Renovation of an educational facility in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 43,000-square-foot educational facility.
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, University of Mas- sachusetts Boston, will receive sealed bids for the McCor- mack Hall Roofing Project, Phase 2. Scope: The project consists of removing approximately 43,000 sf of existing roof and replacing with a Sarnafil En- gineered PVC roofing system with new drains and piping. Includes replacing 26 windows and 11 small skylights. General Contractor must be Prime Certified in General Building Construction. A 5% bid deposit that is no less than of the bid amount must accompany all bids. The bid deposit may be in the form of a certified, treasurers or cashier check; or bid bond from a licensed surety M.G.L. c. 149, 44B(2). The success- ful bidder must furnish a performance and a payment bond each for 100% of the contract price. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c. 149, and to the minimum wage rate as required by the M.G.L. c. 149, 26 to 27H inclusive. The University reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any and all bids if it were in the public interest to do so.
