Description of Work: Pavement and sidewalk joints, Exterior retaining wall joints. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check or a Bidders Bond executed by the bidder and a surety company authorized to transact business in the state of the project's location in the amount of Five Percent (5%) of the Bid, including all additive alternates, as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the required contract will be executed and the required performance and payment bonds furnished. Said bid security shall be returned to the unsuccessful bidders as soon as the contract has been awarded, and to the successful bidder as soon as the contract has been executed and the necessary bonds have been furnished. The bid envelope shall also include Project name, and date and time of the bid opening. No Bidder will be permitted to withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days following the date of bid opening All bidders must be licensed contractors as required by the Contractors Licensing Act of 1976, Tennessee Code Annotated 62-6 et. seq., enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee on March 21, 1976, as currently amended. Bidder's and their major Subcontractor's (Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical) name, license number, date of expiration of license, license limitation, and that part of the license classification applying to the bid must be placed on the envelope containing the bid, otherwise the bid cannot be opened or considered.
