The MERN must restore its sandpits that are inactive, in violation or at the end of their life, as provided for in the regulation on quarries and sandpits. The MERN prepared this call for tenders in order to restore 5 sandpits on the territory of the Golfe-du-Saint-Laurent. The work will be done according to article 42 of the Regulation respecting quarries and sand pits, they will include the leveling of the land, the elimination of waste, the decompaction of the soil and the revegetation with green alders and jack pines. The tender must be presented by a contractor having, in Quebec or in a territory covered by an applicable intergovernmental agreement, an establishment where he carries out his activities on a permanent basis, clearly identified in his name and accessible during normal business hours. The contractor must also have the required licenses from the Régie du Bâtiment du Québec. The Minister particularly draws your attention to clauses 3.12 and 3.13 of the call for tenders document, which indicate the conditions of contractor eligibility to tender and compliance of tenders to be respected in the context of this call for tenders.
