Completed plans call for the construction of a warehouse / distribution facility; for site work for a warehouse / distribution facility; road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work of this contract generally consists of the following: Removal of existing asphalt pavement and existing concrete slabs, removal of existing chain link and barbed wire security fencing at the City of Maryville's recycling center located at 715 Best Street. Construction of a new recycling center to include minor grading, new concrete slabs, concrete curb & gutter, new asphalt pavement, signs and pavement markings, fencing and gates, lighting, landscaping, and installation of utilities. No bids will be received or accepted after the above specified time for the opening of Bids. Bids submitted after the designated hour will be deemed invalid and returned unopened to the Bidder. BIDS shall be accompanied by a cashier's or bank check or BID Guarantee bond in the amount of no less than five percent (5%) of the BID made payable to City of Maryville, OWNER, and subject to the conditions provided in the INSTRUCTION FOR BIDDERS. Bidders should submit with their bid a Drug-Free Workplace Affidavit of Prime Bidder as required by TCA Section 50-9-113. A Title VI Disclosure should also be included with the bid to assist with the City of Maryville's compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The successful bidder will be required to furnish an acceptable Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, each bond. The project herein described as the base bid is to be completed within three (3) months, ninety (90) calendar days after the date when the Contract Time commences to run. Please see the Technical Special Provisions for further scheduling requirements. Liquidated damages for delay of completion of contract will be in accordance with the Agreement (Contract). All bidders must be able to demonstrate before the award of the contract that the proposer (and subcontractors if applicable) has all appropriate licenses and certifications required in the State of Tennessee to perform the Services. This project is funded by the City of Maryville. The Contractor shall comply with all State, Federal, and Local laws and/or regulations. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any irregularities or reject any or all bids.
