Demolition, site work and new construction of a civil project in Jacksonville, Florida. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for the demolition of a water / sewer project.
As of September 17, 2024, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the design phase with 30% complete. It is anticipated construction will start in October 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to select a Qualified Proposer for the design, permitting and services during construction of a new 6.98 MGD water treatment plant (WTP) to replace the existing WTP, all on the same site. This WTP project will include a new high service pump building with four new VFD pumps, electrical room and a control room; a new hypochlorite storage and pumping system; a new emergency power generator and fuel tank; two 600,000 gallon ground storage tanks with tray aerators; electrical power and control upgrades to two existing wells on-site; and demolition of the existing WTP. Further information can be found in Appendix A - Scope of Services. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
