The Works to be performed under the Contract consists of all labour, equipment, materials and associated work as specified to complete the Bonaparte First Nation IR2 Water System Improvements. Civil Works, including: 1) Supply, installation, and maintenance of erosion and sediment control measures. Removal at completion of the Works. 2) Re-grading of the Water Treatment Plant sites and Well sites including supply and placement of new materials as required. 3) Supply and installation of five (5) buried cisterns including connecting drinking water pipelines and drain piping. 4) Supply and installation of two (2) solids separators and leaching beds to receive backwash waste from the Water Treatment Plants. 5) Supply and installation of manholes and chambers. 6) Supply and installation of gravel driveways and hardstand areas. 7) Supply and installation of pipe bollards for protection of equipment. 8) Supply and installation of fencing and gates. 9) Supply and installation of vehicle crash barriers. 10) Standby allowance for five (5) working days at each Water Treatment Plant site for OTHERS to install pre-purchased package Water Treatment Plant Systems and five (5) working days each Well Site for OTHERS to install pre-purchased generator and electrical equipment. 11) Supply and installation of raw water mains from the ground water wells to the Water Treatment Plants, including valves, appurtenances, chambers, sample points and blow off points. 12) Supply and installation of drinking water distribution mains from the Water Treatment Plant locations to the residences including valves, appurtenances, chambers, sample points and blow off points. 13) Supply and installation of local water supply connections including curb stops between the drinking water distribution mains and the homes (connections to homes to be undertaken by a registered plumber). 14) Supply of labour and materials for the disconnection of each home from their existing wells, and re-routing the supply from these wells to hose fixtures located exterior to the homes (connections to be undertaken by a registered plumber). Structural works, including: 1) Supply and installation of foundation thermal protection. 2) Supply and installation of concrete works for the Water Treatment Plant support slabs. 3) Supply and installation of concrete works for the Solids Separator Manhole cover and frame concrete pad. Mechanical (Process) Works, including: 1) Re-development of the two Billy Basil water source wells. 2) Supply and installation of casing extensions to the four (4) existing water source wells and complete/equip the wells. a) Work shall be undertaken by Central Interior Pumps of Kamloops BC, unless otherwise agreed with ENGINEER. 3) Supply and installation of four (4) false wells adjacent to the cisterns. a) Work shall be undertaken by Central Interior Pumps of Kamloops BC, unless otherwise agreed with ENGINEER. 4) Installation of four (4) pre-purchased submersible pumps at the source water wells. a) Work shall be undertaken by Central Interior Pumps of Kamloops BC, unless otherwise agreed with ENGINEER. 5) Installation of four (4) pre-purchased submersible pumps at the false wells adjacent to the cisterns. a) Work shall be undertaken by Central Interior Pumps of Kamloops BC, unless otherwise agreed with ENGINEER. 6) Supply and installation of air valves, isolation valves, blow off valves and sample points. Electrical Works, including: 1) Supply and installation of three (3) electrical service transformers and poles. Transformers and poles shall be supplied and installed by BC Hydro. 2) Supply and installation of power feeder conduit and cabling between: a) BC Hydro Pole and each of the Water Treatment Plant utility power connections. b) BC Hydro Pole and the Billy Basil well site utility power connection. Supply and installation of grounding grid at each Water Treatment Plant site and well sites Supply and installation of all underground electrical works between: a) Water Treatment Plants and cistern well pumps. b) Standby generators and Water Treatment Plants. c) Retasket Water Treatment Plant and Retasket wells. d) Billy Basil Wells standby generator and the Billy Basil wells site utility power connection Installation of three (3) pre-purchased Standby Generators housed in sheds/outdoor shelters. Instrumentation and Control Works, including: 1) Installation of four (4) pre-purchased pressure transducers in the source water wells servicing each Water Treatment Plant. 2) Installation of four (4) pre-purchased pressure transducers at the false wells adjacent to the cisterns. 3) Installation of radio communications between the Billy Basil wells and Billy Basil Water Treatment Plant 4) Supply and installation of all instrumentation and control field wiring and conduit. Testing of CONTRACTOR supplied piping and equipment. Assistance in commissioning for the Water Treatment Plants. Provide 5 days for Site Foreman to assist with operation of the water system during commissioning. Site restoration to existing or better conditions. Demobilization and closeout. The Sites are located in Lower Hat Creek, British Columbia along Highway BC-99 at the Retasket, Williams, Minnabarriet, Billy and Basil housing clusters.
