Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Columbus, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The intent of this contract is to provide the Department of Public Service additional resources to perform various engineering and surveying tasks for bridge and retaining wall projects. The projects developed under this program are typically small to moderate size improvements. Non-standard plan formats may be used for the simplest projects where there is no apparent benefit from developing standard construction plans. The selected consultant shall be readily available to perform such tasks when requested by the City. The ability to complete projects in a short timeframe will be a critical point in the evaluation process. The consultant shall be expected to work on multiple projects concurrently, and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract, as set forth in this Request for Proposals (RFP). All questions concerning the RFP are to be sent to capitalprojects@columbus.gov. The last day to submit questions will be specified in the RFP; phone calls will not be accepted. A pre-proposal meeting will not be held. 1.4 City of Columbus MBE/WBE Program: This project is subject to the requirements of the City's MBE/WBE Program. The MBE/WBE goal assigned to this project is 15.0%. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
