A certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten per cent (10%) of the bid, but in no case in excess of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000), must be submitted with the bid guaranteeing that if a contract is awarded, the bidder shall execute the contract. The Township of East Brunswick is seeking to secure a highly qualified contractor to provide all the labor, materials, supplies, furnishings, services, shop drawings, review, equipment, expertise and supervision to develop plans and specifications to construct a post tension concrete basketball court with new equipment. The contractor shall, at its expense, obtain any and all required permits, inspections, and testing as well as pay any fees required for the development of the facility, to be located at Bicentennial Park, 180 Hardenburg Lane, East Brunswick NJ. The goal of this project is to provide one new basketball court at Bicentennial Park using post tension concrete. The Scope of Work for the design and construction of this Project consists of the following components: a. Construct one new post tension concrete basketball court. The concrete slab is proposed to be 94' x 60'. b. Provide an acrylic based sports surface suitable to be installed on top of concrete. Line the completed courts for regulation basketball. c. Provide all basketball court accessory equipment. d. Provide a perimeter concrete curb installed around the post tension concrete slab. e. Provide a 20-year structural warranty on the post tension concrete slab from structural cracking, heaving and/or settling. Provide a 10-year surface warranty on the Coating Sports Surface from peeling or bubbling.
