Site work, remodeling and renovation of a mixed-use development in Arlington, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Proposed Improvements Install a new precast bioretention inlet along the curb flow line east of existing inlet to capture and treat the contributing drainage area. Connect the bioretention inlet underdrain to the existing curb inlet with a watertight connection. Form new curb and gutter along the flow line and repair bituminous pavement within saw cut limits and restripe affected parking spaces. Proposed Landscape Improvements All disturbed areas of turfgrass establishment will be sodded in the final condition. Temporary seeding for soil stabilization will be permitted as needed, provided that all areas of turfgrass establishment are sodded in the final condition. Select plants for the proposed tree box bioretention facilities from the manufacturer's approved plant list, placing priority on environmental sustainability and maintenance needs. The contractor will coordinate plant selections for each facility with the DPW through the COR.
