The intent of this tender call is to obtain an offer to provide the Town of Grand Falls with all and every kind of labour, construction equipment, products and services that may be required to execute and complete, in a workmanlike manner, all the work comprised in the Main Street - Mill and Pave in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, which includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Cold milling street surface and placement of Type "B" asphalt (50 mm) and Type "D" asphalt (40 mm);
- Removal and disposal of existing asphalt curbs and asphalt sidewalks;
- Replacement of existing asphalt curbs and sidewalks with a Type "D" asphalt shoulder (50 mm);
- Cold mill existing asphalt shoulder and overlay shoulder with Type "D" asphalt (40 mm);
- Removal and disposal of existing sluice boxes and associated piping;
- Topsoil and hydraulic seeding and/or sodding. The Work must be substantially completed within 20 days after commencement of construction. Construction is to begin no later than two (2) weeks after the Contract has been awarded. Bid documents may be obtained at the office of Consultant located at 13 Costigan Street, Edmundston, New Brunswick. One set of Bid Documents can be obtained by bidders upon receipt of a nonrefundable deposit in amount of $150.00 per set. This project is cost shared by the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure and the Town of Grand Falls under the Municipal Designated Highway Program. Each tender must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the tender price, payable to the Town of Grand Falls. The name of the tendering firm and the identification of the contract shall be indicated on the envelope. The latest revision of the "Tendering Regulations" of the Crown Construction Contract Act (82-109), as amended, apply to this tender.
