The City of Phenix City, Alabama is requesting separate sealed bids for Demolition and Clearance Activities involving the City's Blight Removal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). The project consists of the demolition and clearance of twelve (12) residential properties declared public nuisances and located within the corporate limits of the City of Phenix City, Alabama. All bids must be submitted on bid forms as provided. In order to Bid on the project, the Bidder shall possess a valid General Contractor's license for work in the State of Alabama. The Contractor's license number shall be clearly indicated on the outside of the sealed bid envelopes containing his/her bid. Each bidder must deposit, with its bid, security in the amount of, form of and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for bidders. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246. No bidder may withdraw its bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
