Renovation of an educational facility in Edmonton, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 317,535-square-foot, six-story above grade educational facility.
The project involves the development of two existing spaces, which will be combined into one open area collaboration space with two meeting rooms, two offices, one phone room, a dry bistro area and one small storage closet. The existing main entrance into the space is to be demolished and relocated to the north corridor wall along with new borrowed lights. The two meeting rooms and two offices are existing within the space and there will be new electrical, flooring and ceilings within these rooms as well as all other areas as per the Construction Documents. The mechanical scope involves minor alterations to HVAC, replacement of all diffusers and modifications to the sprinkler system to suit the new layout. The electrical scope involves new lighting and lighting control, replacement of all receptacles and data plus the addition of card access at the main entry and interconnecting door into the Elko Garage, which is located in the adjacent spaces. There are five new audiovisual locations involving new power and data to suit.
