The project consists of a mill & asphalt overlay on E Cleveland Ave from E side of K-96/K-14 (Broadway) thru 1st Street intersection, curb & gutter & full-depth asphalt pavement on 1st Street from E Cleveland to Washington Ave with an Alternate Bid for concrete, sidewalk along the W side of 1st Street from Cleveland to Washington. There is an Add Alternate of full depth pavement replacement on E Cleveland east of Broadway Avenue. City of Sterling shall provide all of the funds required for this project. All Federal, State and County regulations must be complied with. Bidders will be required to submit three (3) project references from within the past two years including a description of the nature of the work, total contract value of the project, name of the project owner, name, phone number and email address of owner's contact for each referenced project. All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a Certified or Cashier's check in the amount of 5% of the total bid. Checks or bonds are to be made payable to City of Sterling and serve as a guarantee of the sincerity and integrity of the bidder, and shall be forfeited to the City if said proposal or bid is accepted and the bidder fails to execute the contract and file the required statutory and performance bonds as required in the contract documents. Work will commence no sooner than the date of Signed Contract (earliest start date) and no later than May 30, 2023 (late start date). All work shall be completed within 50 working days after the Notice to Proceed. There is an additional 15 working days for the Add Alternate intersection paving. City of Sterling reserves the right to waive any and all technicalities and to reject any and all bids.
