This Request for Proposal ("RFP") is an invitation by The Corporation of the Township of Springwater to prospective proponents to submit proposals to for the replacement of the existing playground in Homer Barrett Park in Elmvale, Ontario, with accompanying walkway works. Work is to include the following: - Provide site protection hoarding as required to ensure public safety during construction. - Removal and disposal of existing play structure, with the exception of components designated for salvage, which will be disassembled and retained by the Township. - Preparation for and installation of: - Asphalt walkway between the existing splash pad and playground area. - Gravel/Limestone screening accessible walkway between the new subdivision access to the East and park access in the Southwest corner, with a provisional alternate of asphalt paving if budget allows. - Concrete curb and walkway around the new play structure area. - Supply and installation of new play structure, as proposed in this RFP. - Supply and installation of new rubberized play surface. - Make good with topsoil and sod all areas disturbed by construction activities. The budget for the play structure component is $100,000.00, though the cost may vary based on the evaluated play experience.
