This is a request for proposal (RFP) and is not an offer to contract. Instead, this RFP seeks to establish a common framework within which a contract may be reached between the Proposer and the Housing Authority of Kansas City, Missouri (HAKC). Further, this RFP and your firm's response will be the basis for and be incorporated into any legal contract between HAKC and the successful bidder. Proposals submitted in response to the RFP shall represent a firm offer to contract with the HAKC on the terms and conditions described in such proposals. Each representation of fact and promise of future performance therein will be incorporated into the contract as a warranty or covenant. The Housing Authority of Kansas City, Missouri (HAKC) is seeking proposals from qualified entities or individuals for the provision of Flooring Services, in accordance with the specifications in this Scope of Services The contract period shall be the date of issuance of the Notice to Proceed through a two (2) year term. At the sole option of HAKC, the contract may be extended up to three (3) one (1) additional year. Prices stated in the proposal shall be legally binding for the term of the contract, including renewal periods HAKC is a sales tax-exempt entity. Copies of the sales tax exemption information will be provided to the successful bidder on request. The contractor shall not include in the bid amount, any taxes chargeable against the performance of the work.
