St. Joseph Continuing Care Centre is pre-qualifying General Contractors to provide construction services for the construction of a new Physiotherapy Room Addition at 14 York Street, Cornwall, Ontario, using the stipulated price contract method. The new addition will consist of an infill at the second floor to join the north and south wings together with a gross floor area of 219 m2 (2357 sf). The addition will include non-combustible steel construction, metal cladding / curtain wall exterior, a new raised floor, acoustical ceiling, and sprinklers. Project Schedule: - Prequalification Period: September 2022 - Anticipated Contract Awarded: October 11, 2022 - Project Completion Date: May 2023 Bidders will be invited from a list of pre-qualified General Contractors. SJCCC reserves the right to limit General Contractor selection to six firms. Only General Contractors who have completed commercial / institutional buildings of a similar value will be considered. In the evaluation process, strong emphasis will be placed on the management team and site superintendent proposed, including the experience of the firm in this type of construction, scheduling, construction workmanship, correction of deficiencies, health & safety and working with local sub-trades.
