solid waste contractors interested in providing residential solid waste collection and disposal services for one (1), two (2), or three (3) year terms as selected by the Borough to commence on January 1, 2023, with the Borough reserving the right to extend the contract for up to three (3) additional one (1) year terms. The award of a contract will require the successful bidder to collect and dispose of all solid waste, supply all labor tools, machinery, plant, equipment, and perform all the work of collecting, removing, and disposing of solid waste once each week from all residential and applicable public places in the Borough of Hughestown. One bulk item pick-up per household, per month shall be the responsibility of the successful bidder. As provided in this request for proposals, discussions and negotiations may be conducted with responsible offerors for the purpose of clarification and of obtaining best and final offers. Responsible offers shall be accorded fair and equal treatment with respect to any opportunity for discussion and revision of proposals. In conducting discussions, there shall be no disclosure of any information derived from proposals submitted by competing offerors. The award of a service contract by the Borough, if made, will be made on or before sixty (60) days following the opening of the sealed proposals.
