*Per Owner, project has been cancelled, no plans for immediate re-bid.* This project consists of selective demolition and the installation of new sidewalk and curbs on Chestnut Street to limits shown on the Plans. In addition, the installation of new driveway aprons with ADA handicap ramps are included as well as rain gardens, retaining walls, mill and pave of the existing parking lot, pavement markings, signage, and landscaping. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Borough of Souderton, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount shall be submitted with each Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for Satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond and Labor and Material Bond, each in an amount of 100% of the contract amount. Bids must be made on forms furnished by the Borough. Bidder qualifications and schedule of prices shall be submitted with the bid. A Certificate of Insurance, showing proof of Workers Compensation Coverage, and a completed Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Form must also be submitted. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Souderton Borough reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to eliminate or reduce items or quantities, to waive any informality, or take other such action that is deemed to be in the best interest of the Borough and as may be permitted by law.
