The City of Yellowknife is seeking tenders to upgrade Grace Lake South's-Braden Blvd. turnaround. The following is a brief and general summary of the project work: A. Removal of existing granite blast rock stockpile of approximately 4,500 m3 at the west end of Braden Boulevard in the Grace Lake South Neighbourhood. B. Deliver select blast rock ?diameters approximately between 1.0 and 1.5 m to the following locations—coordinate final location with City prior to delivery. The remainder of the rock shall become the property of the contractor. The contractor may crush, sell, and/or use rock as they see fit, including use in other City contracts, provided the material meets the specific requirements for that contract. 1. Twenty?four (24) cubic meters to the Cemetery. 2. Forty (40) cubic meters to the northeast side of Deh Cho Boulevard across from Merlin Road.Approximate coordinate: Northing: 6925819, Easting: 631661. C. Rough grade balance ofstockpile perthe attached drawing.The consultant will provide the construction survey layout. D. Transport and dispose of spoil concrete as shown on drawing C?101. E. Supply, haul, place, and compact imported 20 mm minusroad gravel to grade and widen existing turn?around area per the attached drawing.The Consultant will provide the construction survey layout. F. Complete QC testing for granular compaction on 20mm minus road gravel.Compaction test results are to be provided to the consultant for review and shall comply with the City’s Development & Design Standards, V 1.0 April 2022. G. Place blast rock boulders in a single line as depicted on the drawing to delineate the end of the road and block vehicle access.
