As of December 22, 2022, an engineer has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The State of Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs is requesting Professional Architectural and Engineering Services for the Design and Construction of Modifications to the Marquette Armory. The project consists of: Additional supply and vault spaces Modifications to men's and women's latrines Refurbish men's and women's shower and locker room Modifications to PT room Office and classroom renovations Modifications to military motor pool and fencing Modifications to POV lot and force protection Fuel truck parking pad DDC controls Fire alarm system Painting Interior and exterior lighting upgrades Hazardous Material Abatement The PSC shall assume a maximum construction budget of $4,000,000 for the project and it is anticipated the work may be implemented in a phased approach. Should the project require additional construction funding based on the PSCs evaluation and recommendations, it will be brought to the team's attention and sought by the project team. The building is currently occupied so any visits beyond the mandatory walkthrough during the bidding and design phase must be coordinated with DMVA personnel.
