Sealed bids for the removal and proper disposal of two (2) sunken and/or abandoned vessels identified below and the removal and replacement of 1 broken 5 pile cluster north of the Leon Theriot Lock Bids will be considered separately, and bidders may bid on removal of one, either or both vessels and/or replacement of the pile cluster. The Port reserves the right to award the project to a single or multiple bidders. The successful bidder(s) will be required to execute an Agreement and provide Commercial General Liability and automobile liability with limits of $1,000,000, and Worker's Comp, including all Jones Act and maritime exposure coverage as applicable, in the limits set forth by Louisiana law. The Port shall be named and waived on all such policies. If the vessel is to be accessed by land, accommodations with the landowner shall be made by the Contractor. Vessel #1 is a white fiberglass hull located on the west side of Bayou Lafourche across from 20662 Hwy. 1 in Golden Meadow, LA Vessel #2 is an 18' fiberglass hull located in Bayou Lafourche in front of 19257 East Main Street in Golden Meadow, LA The pile cluster replacement bid shall cover the removal and replacement of 1 broken 5-pile cluster on North Pile #2 north of the Leon Theriot Lock and replace with new 5-pile cluster 40' Class B 2.5 Treated Pilings. After piles are driven supply and install cable with a minimum 7 wraps with 5/8 galvanized cable. Tighten every few wraps with dragline tag and nail to piles. Cable will be nailed to each pile to prevent movement. Both ends will be cable clamped with two 5/8 galvanized cable clamps each before tension is released. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor defects or reject any and all bids.
