Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Hanford, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.
NOTE: Bidders must be on the City's plan holders list to bid. Bids are required for the entire work as described herein: Provide and pull electrical wire from beginning and end points detailed in attached scope, provide and install conduit and wiring to steel cabinet to contain cam locks for ice rink chiller, provide and install steel cabinet mounted by steel poles and strut. Make connections at existing switch gear to existing 400A 3p breaker. Make connections at steel cabinet for cam locks. Determine and provide "extension cords" for cam lock connections to chiller. Install two 30x48 pull boxes in designated areas (provided by the City of Hanford). Preform and provide all other labor and ancillary items for full power connection as required for ice rink chiller as described. An executed copy of the contract and purchase order will be issued to the successful bidder that shall constitute acceptance of the Bidder's Proposal. No bids will be accepted from a Contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9, Division 3 of Business and Professions Code. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids. In accordance with the provisions of Section 1770 to 1781 of the Labor Code, the City of Hanford has ascertained that the general prevailing rate of wages applicable to the work being done is as per wage scale on file in the City Engineer's office. The Contractor to whom the contract is awarded shall pay not less than the specified wages to all workmen employed in the execution of the contract. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. In accordance with the provisions of Section 1770 to 1781 of the Labor Code, the City of Hanford has ascertained that the general prevailing rate of wages applicable to the work being done in Kings County is as per wage scale on file in the City Engineer's office. The Contractor to whom the contract is awarded shall pay not less than the specified wages to all workmen employed in the execution of the contract. The (Title o(Recipient), in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 US. C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Construction Contracts under $25,000, and Maintenance Contracts $15,000 and under are EXEMPT from some prevailing wage requirements, including DIR registration, and DIR notification of award. Prevailing wage is required for any project over $1,000, and the Contractor is responsible for keeping certified payroll records. If the project does not fall within the EXEMPT limits, the Contractor must provide the DIR numbers of the prime and all sub contractors on the contract. The City will report the award of the project before the work begins, or up to 30 days after award, whichever occurs first.
