College of The Albemarle is planning to make improvements to the Elizabeth City campus. These improvements include the construction of a new 25,000sq ft. to 28,000sq ft. medical simulation building. The College intends to utilize the Construction Manager at Risk construction method for this project. The new building will be located at 1208 North Road St Elizabeth City, NC 27909. The College intends to select a qualified consultant to provide architectural and engineering services in accordance with North Carolina General Statutes. This will be a State Construction Oversight Project. Each submission packet must include 1 original and 5 copies plus a flash drive with a PDF version. No electronic submissions will be accepted. College of The Albemarle reserves the right to reject any and all proposals in accordance to North Carolina General Statutes. College of The Albemarle is requesting statements of qualifications to enter into a design contract for the construction of a new Health Sciences and Simulation Building. The consultant design team will perform architectural and supporting engineering tasks necessary to design, permit, procure construction management at risk services, and administer construction for the project Format for Statements of Qualifications: Each SOQ submitted in response to this solicitation should address the following elements: 1) A brief description of the firm and its program of services. 2) The project team and the individual qualifications and experiences for each of the members of the team. 3) A list of recent project experience, highlighting any prior experience designing or building medical simulation facilities among other referenced projects. Each project listed must have client contact information. 4) A description of the firm's experience and abilities with construction management at risk projects, including specific project results regarding schedule and final cost versus guaranteed maximum price. 5) An explanation of the consultant's approach to addressing the proposed scope of services outlined in this document. 6) A description of the firm's experience with State Construction Oversight and resent projects completed with references.
