Sealed bids will be received by CITY OF EAST PEORIA hereinafter known as Owner, for the ICC FIRE STATION project. Project Description: This is a 6,136sf new fire station with a 900sf mezzanine that includes an apparatus bay, bunk rooms, day room, residential kitchen, radio room, fitness room, gear room, and mechanical spaces. The building is comprised of concrete foundations, slab on grade, CMU bearing walls, face brick, structural steel, carpentry, finish carpentry, fluid applied membrane, metal panel, standing seam metal roofing, DFH, overhead doors, glass/glazing, drywall/framing/act, flooring, paint, division 10, plumbing, HVAC, electric, site improvements, paving, site utilities. This is a construction management at risk project. All contractors on this Project are considered Subcontractors to River City Construction, L.L.C (RCC). RCC will award separate contracts for all bid packages involved in the project. The project will be managed and coordinated by RCC. Every bid shall consist of two (2) completed copies of Bid Documents and shall be accompanied by bid guarantee consisting of bid bond, certified check or cashier's check made payable to City of East Peoria, in amount of five percent of total of bids upon which Contractor is bidding. Failure of bidder to submit bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in amount to cover proposals bid upon is cause for rejection of this bid. If bidding on multiple bid packages, please submit a bid form for each work category. Bidders are allowed to submit combination bids of multiple bid packages. However, the bidder must also bid each package individually. Bids on all bid packages of this contract shall be subject to the provisions of the "Illinois Prevailing Wage Act" (820 ILCS 130/1, et seq.). Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept any or reject all bids when in the opinion of Owner, such action will serve the best interest of Owner.
