Site work for a water / sewer project in Newport News, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Contractor registration in accordance with Title 2.2, Chapter 43 and Title 54.1, Chapter 11, Code of Virginia is required. The Project or Work consists of the installation of 30-inch ductile iron force main to replace existing 12- inch, 14-inch, and 16-inch force main aligned from the terminus of the Phase II project located northwest of the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Oyster Point to the connection location at the Patrick Henry Interconnect Force Main. The alignment features approximately 11,000 feet of 30-inch force main, 500 feet of 48-inch tunnel bore under I-64 and replacement of 4,000 linear feet of the 24-inch force main along Brick Kiln Boulevard. This project is being funded in part under the Virginia Clean Water Revolving Loan Fund (VCWRLF). Bidders shall comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 (Prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex or national origin), No. 12138 and No. 11625 (Regarding MBE/WBE utilization). Bidders shall also comply with the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Bidders must certify that they do not and will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on basis of race, color, creed or national origin.
