Site work for a water / sewer project in Western Springs, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Proposals shall be submitted in an opaque, sealed envelope plainly marked with the title of the project. RESPONSES TO THE RFP RECEIVED AFTER THE ABOVE DATE AND TIME WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. SUBMISSION OF FAXED OR EMAILED RESPONSES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. The successful consultant/contractor shall be required to furnish payment and performance bonds in the full amount of the proposal, at the time a contract is awarded, to the Village of Western Springs by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Illinois and approved by the Village. Failure to produce acceptable bonds will constitute default and the contract will be forfeited. No proposal shall be withdrawn after the closing date without the consent of the Village for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of closing. Consultants/contractors will be required to comply with all laws including those related to employment of labor and the payment of local prevailing wage rates. Each consultant/contractor shall satisfy the Village as to their ability, financial and otherwise, to perform the work specified. The Village Board reserves the right to reject any and all applicable proposals, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to make award on that proposal, which, in its opinion, is most advantageous to the Village. Liquidated damages : $1,100 per day
