Project Number- 0423935-003 Construction Services for replacement of the linear accelerator in Veterinary Medical Center North, located on the Saint Paul campus. The Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota (the "University") is requesting Proposals to provide construction services for replacement of the linear accelerator in Veterinary Medical Center North, located on the Saint Paul campus (the "Project"). Veterinary Radiation Oncology is looking to replace the current linac as it is now nine years past the 'end of life' and has significant downtime that negatively affects patient care. The new Varian EDGE linac will build a platform for sustained research success in translational radiation oncology and state-of-the-art infrastructure to secure external funding and perform advanced radiotherapy for improved tumor control. Varian to remove old Linac and install the new one. The selected Respondent will need to complete the area identified in the RFP Documents. Scope of Work includes sprinkler modification, room finishes, Electrical/Lighting, HVAC, utility, and sheetrock work. This Project will be a joint venture with the Veterinary and Med School Departments of Radiation Oncology. BWBR is the Architect/Engineer of Record for the Project. Current Prevailing Wage Rates The selected Respondent will perform the Work for a Contract Sum that shall be a fixed, lump sum that shall include all costs necessary to complete the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents, including Respondent's overhead and profit. The University requires the Project to be substantially complete by no later than January 31, 2023. Anticipate a 20-week lead time for Linear Accelerator delivery on site.
