The County of Orange, Orange County Sheriff-Coroner Department, (hereinafter referred to as "County" or "OCSD") is requesting competitive sealed bids from pre-qualified firms, (hereinafter referred to as "Bidder") for Job Order Contracting (JOC) for Mechanical Services. The awarded contract, (hereinafter referred to as "Contract"), will be a usage Contract between the County and awarded Bidder (hereinafter referred to as "Contractor") in accordance with the Model Contract, attached hereto and incorporated herein, and Scope of Work attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference as Attachment A. The proposed Contract shall be effective for one (1) year, or until the total Contract amount is reached, whichever occurs first. The Contractor shall possess a current State of California Class C-4 (Boiler, Hot Water Heating and Steam Fitting), C-20 (Warm-Air Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning), AND C-36 (Plumbing) contractor's license issued by the California State Contractor's License Board. Respondents are not to contact other County personnel with any questions or clarifications concerning this IFB. OCSD will provide all official communication concerning this IFB. Any County response relevant to this IFB other than through or approved by OC Sheriff-Coroner Department is unauthorized and will be considered invalid. A Pre-Bid Meeting is required. All Bidders must be in attendance at the Pre-Bid Meeting in order to continue the bidding process. The Pre-Bid Meeting will be conducted one time only. Attendance and sign-in at the Pre-Bid Meeting is required. The purpose of the Pre-Bid Meeting will be to distribute documents, discuss the Job Order Contracting (JOC) concept, and discuss JOC from a Contractor's perspective. For Contractors who are new to the JOC process a training workshop will be part of the Pre-Bid Meeting. Responsive Bids shall include the following completed submittals: i. Bid Cover Page: Dated and signed by Contractor's authorized representative (note special requirements for Corporations) ii. Attachment B: Contractor's Pricing (2 pages, including acknowledgement of addenda, individual adjustment factors & award formula) iii. Exhibit 1: Company Profile and References iv. Exhibit 2: Non-Collusion Affidavit v. Bid Bond in an amount not less than 10% of the maximum contract's value vi.
