Renovation of a residential development in Empire, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Stanislaus Regional Housing Authority (Authority) is seeking bids from General Building Contractors (Contractor) to remove and replace existing watercoolers and plenums, at its property located at 5132 South Ave., Empire located within Stanislaus County. The Contractor will remove the existing watercoolers and plenums and replace watercooler with HVAC or Mini spilt unit. Contractor will be responsible for checking existing ducting and making sure it is operational and can be reused if HVAC is being installed. New plenum will need to be installed as well. The Contractor shall obtain all required approvals and permitting through the local governing agency, fees shall be paid by the Authority. All local, state and federal codes and regulations shall be followed by the Contractor. Additionally, a noncollusive affidavit will be submitted with the contractor's bid. If the contractor's bid is over $10,000, the successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory performance and payment bond for one hundred percent of the contract price or, as may be required by law, separate performance and payment bonds, each for fifty percent or more of the contract price, or a twenty percent cash escrow, or a twenty five percent irrevocable letter of credit. The Authority reserves the right to issue modifications to this IFB at any time, award the proposed project to more than one firm, reject all proposals, and ask for any clarifications or verifications from Proposers at any time Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and supplies necessary to remove, and replace of watercooler units, plenums and thermostats. Replacements to be no lower than 14 SEER, 2 ton unit. 1.1 Remover intake, patch, texture and paint. For mini split system vendor to supply only one Air Handler per unit. Empire Migrant Center has 92 Units: 10 - 2 bedroom units 572 Sq.Ft. 72 - 3 bedroom units 780 Sq.Ft. 10 - 4 bedroom units 884 Sq.Ft.
