Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Hazle Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
As of October 11, 2022. This project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established Hazle Township, Luzerne County, PA, will receive Bids for the construction and/or installation associated with existing stormwater piping removal and disposal, 2,930 L.F. of new stormwater piping/replacement, 10 stormwater inlets, 23 type C concrete inlet tops, 33 bicycle safe grates, trenching, asphalt roll curb, pavement restoration and rock lined drainage swales in various separate sections of Hazle Township PA State Prevailing Wages shall apply to this project. The Contract Documents, pertaining to such Bids, are on file and available for inspection at the Hazle Township Municipal Building, 101 West 27th Street, Hazle Township, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons whose name and address are on record with the Township as having obtained a set of the contract documents. All bids should be accompanied by a certified or cashiers check, payable to the order of Hazle Township, or a bid bond in an amount equal to 10% of the total Bid. Hazle Township reserves the right in its discretion to reject any or all Bids or to waive any irregularities, omissions or mistakes in the Bidding Process. Any and all questions on the Bid must be emailed to the Project Engineer, Mr. Joseph M. Calabrese, P.E., at rjdjoey@ptd.net on or before Thursday, September 8th, 2022 at 2 p.m. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and evaluating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to awarding any contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid before the expiration of such sixty (60) day period; provided however, that if the award of contract is delayed by a required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, the Owner shall reject all bids or award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder within 120 days of the date of bid opening, and no bidder may withdraw his bid before the expiration of such 120 day period Thirty (30) day extensions of the date of the award of contract may be made with the mutual written consent of the Owner and the lowest responsible bidder. Within ten (10) days of the date that the contract is awarded, the contract shall be executed by the Owner and the successful bidder, and the Owner shall issue a notice to proceed unless the time shall be extended by the mutual written consent of the Owner and the successful bidder. Prior to the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish to the Owner a performance bond and payment bond, in the form contained in the Contract Document and executed by a satisfactory surety, each equal to 100% of the total Contract amount.
